More Photos of the Herschell Bissecker Wedding

Cutting the Cake at the reception

The Speeches at the Reception were wonderful and the serious Biblical content indicative of the Christian Character of the Families involved.

Papa Bissecker spoke first a very wise word from the Parable of the Wheat and the Tares and not removing the tares in each others lives too early.

Then Andy Herschell, Jesse's Dad, spoke from Genesis 49:
Gen 49:22  "Joseph is a fruitful tree, a fruitful tree by a spring, with branches climbing over a wall.
Gen 49:23  Archers provoked him, shot at him, and attacked him.
Gen 49:24  But his bow stayed steady, and his arms remained limber because of the help of the Mighty One of Jacob, because of the name of the Shepherd, the Rock of Israel,
Gen 49:23  The archers bitterly attacked him, shot at him, and harassed him severely,
Gen 49:24  yet his bow remained unmoved; his arms were made agile by the hands of the Mighty One of Jacob (from there is the Shepherd, the Stone of Israel),

So his Dad spoke of the attacks that Jesse had weathered and how God was making him fruitful and would make Him more Fruitful. He also spoke of Fliss as the great complement to Jesse. She has her feet on the ground and is practical.

Then Grandpa Herschell spoke  on "Saying the same thing" from          1Co 1:10  Now I entreat you, brethren, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, to cultivate a spirit of harmony ( be in perfect harmony and full agreement)--all of you--and that there be no divisions among you, but rather a perfect union through your having one mind and one judgement.
I spoke of Jesse and Fliss being musicians who understood harmony as it relates to sound and vibrations and cords. They must be in tune and no discord.

Jesse love your wife meaning not just kisses and hugs but real helping  daily in the marriage.

Submitting to one another meaning to be instep like soldiers on a Military parade-ground.

There were some very special speeches like Nick Bakers making everyone laugh.
The Jesse thanked everyone for their impact on his life. he is a Loving young man as as soft as butter. May he continue to remain soft and vulnerable with people and especially the Lord.

Jesse sang to Fliss a song he composed. "Two are better than one" Very precious.

We thank Pastor Andy Edwards for the great wedding he conducted and the sermon he gave.n How precious. He did the premarriage counselling too and so understood them in detail. May he continue to Pastor them.

Then we thank Pastor Grant Chivers for his MC-ing the reception. He had his messages for the couple between the funnies.

We went to NZ for the wedding of our Grandson to Flecity Elisabeth Grace Bissecker. We were really blessed. We went home to OZ  purring and proud of our Grandson and his new Bride.
